JS Camper Rental is the largest supplier of 4x4 rental vehicles in Iceland, making them the go-to choice if you’re looking to explore the country during shoulder seasons with inclement weather, or simply want greater access to Iceland’s best attractions.
Why book with JS Camper Rental?
As well as being the go-to choice for a 4WD campervan rental company in Iceland, JS Camper Rental offers excellent value and a range of other benefits. Here are some of the reasons why JS Camper Rental is such a popular brand for road trippers:

Relatively young minimum rental age of 20 years.
Free transfers between Keflavik Airport and the JS Camper Rental headquarters, or local hotels.
200 kilometres allowed per day (on average).
Many vehicles in the fleet are brand new as of 2018.
Bedding and kitchenware are included as standard.
Additional extras are available for hire, such as tents, GPS, and a BBQ grill.

There is just one campervan available with JS Camper Rental - the Toyota Hilux truck with an attached camper.
The truck itself is a Toyota Hilux that has four doors and is four-wheel drive, so it’s ideal for the Icelandic highlands (note there are a couple of roads you are not permitted to drive on, so be sure to grab a map when you pick up your rental). It has a manual transmission, and all trucks are diesel - so be sure to choose the right nozzle at the pump.
The camper on the back has two beds, which equates to sleeping space for up to three adults, or two adults and two kids. It comes with a sink, fridge, gas stove, heater, and all the bedding and kitchenware you need. The second bed converts into a table and seating area for dinners and relaxing.
Where can you hire a campervan with JS Camper Rental in Iceland?
The JS Camper Rental depot is located in Keflavik, which is just outside Reykjavik, Iceland’s capital city. Not only is the depot close to the airport, but JS Camper Rental also offers free transfers, so you don’t need to worry about finding your way there.
Once you’ve got your hands on the wheel, the whole country is at your fingertips. If you only have a short amount of time, a Reykjavik round trip around the south of Iceland can be an excellent way to see many of the best attractions without spending too much time driving. If you have a few weeks to spare and want to see as much of Iceland as possible, the Ring Road is an absolute must. This route takes you around the circumference of the island, stopping at waterfalls, black sand beaches, lagoons, and everything else the country has to offer along the way. Plus, with a 4x4 from JS Camper Rental, you’ll be able to access more hotspots than you would in a standard motorhome.
Note that rentals are only available between April 1 and October 31 each year.
