How is it nearly Labour Weekend? This year has been a blur, but it's exciting that summer is just around the corner and there’s a long weekend just waiting to be celebrated. A three day weekend is great for a short motorhome adventure, perfect for newbies looking for their first time adventure. Dip your toe in and see what you think, if you love it - and we’re pretty sure you will - you can book a longer campervan trip for the Christmas holidays. Here’s some inspiration for you, just two of millions of possible itineraries all over our beautiful country. We’re here to prove motorhoming doesn’t have to be a three week adventure, there’s plenty of fun to be had in just two or three days!

Explore the fascinating history of Tasmania
Pick your campervan up late afternoon in Hobart and drive 27km to Richmond where you can see Australia's oldest standing Catholic Church, bridge and gaol. Richmond is also home to Old Hobart Town - a reconstruction of Hobart as it looked in the 1820s. The next day, take a drive to Port Arthur where you can lose yourself in the fascinating history of Australia’s first penal colony - you’re going to want some time to soak it all in. Finish with a final day of natural beauty on Tasman Peninsula - see some of the tallest cliffs in the world; stand gobsmacked at the wild ocean views and explore Eaglehawk Neck, the Tessellated Pavement, as well as the local caves, beaches and blowholes before driving an hour and a half back to drop the motorhome back in Hobart.
Cruise the Queensland Coast
Pick up your motorhome in Brisbane and head up to the Sunshine Coast stopping between Beerwah and Beerburrum to admire the incredible Glasshouse Mountains. You can drive straight through but Mooloolaba, Coolum, and Peregian are all great stops if you’re in the meandering mood. Stay the night at beloved Noosa Heads tourist spot and enjoy its laid-back vibe. The next day, head inland to Cooroy then north to Gympie, a former gold rush town. After you’ve explored a bit (definitely check out the museum if time allows) it’s 73km to Rainbow Beach, passing through beautiful Toolara State Forest, and its incredible wildlife. Rainbow Beach is perfect for a bit of rest and relaxation after driving, and there are plenty of options for parking up overnight. Spend your last day exploring Fraser Island with its stunning lakes, forests and wild beaches. It won’t be hard to see why it’s such a jewel in Australia’s crown.
