The historic riverside city of Londonderry is the perfect introduction to what’s on offer in Northern Ireland. Wander around the 17th-century walls that surround the city and continue your Ireland motorhome tour from there.

2: Mechelen, Belgium

The energetic vibe of this historic city is magnetic. Visiting the 15th century St Rumbold’s Cathedral is a must while in Mechelen, plus there’s free WiFi for everyone visiting the city. Pick up your motorhome in Brussels; Mechelen is a short thirty-minute drive and well worth it.

3: Ljubljana, Slovenia

Ljubljana is the capital of Slovenia and full of surprises

Say it with us ‘lyoo-BLYAH-nuh’. Technically it’s not a small underrated city, it’s the bigger underrated capital city of Slovenia but we wanted to include it anyway. You’ll see medieval streets, fairytale castles, relaxing parks and fresh local cuisine. Of course, it’s easy to venture out of the city to one of the nearby attractions like Lake Bled or the Škocjan Caves.

4: Taranaki, New Zealand

We know its not a city, but we had to mention it. This beautiful underrated region in the North Island stretches inland to include a few top-notch experiences including the stunning 19-kilometre Pouakai Crossing, the Govett-Brewster Art Gallery, amazing surf beaches and picturesque Mount Taranaki.

5: Vasteras, Sweden

It’s a short distance from other neighbouring cities so definitely add Evora to your list.
